The evaluation of a thyroid mass is made by reviewing your medical history and examining the neck. Other tests or procedures that your doctor may order, all of which are available at our Center and can be completed during your visit, include blood tests, ultrasound exams, CT scans, chest X-rays, thyroid scans, thyroid biopsy, thyroid imaging, thyroid surgery, thyroid cancer staging, thyroid oncology, thyroid cancer genetic testing.

What can a patient expect?
Patients can expect to receive expert care quickly. No referral is necessary to schedule an appointment with our specialists. Simply fill out the online form, and our patient affairs coordinator will contact you as quickly as possible. All required exams are available on site and patients generally receive their results within 24 to 72 hours.
It is important to note that most nodules are benign. A minority may be treated with a medication known as suppression therapy. More often, however, whether the lump is benign or malignant, a removal is required. Your physician will discuss all options and possible outcomes with you in detail before deciding a way forward.
